Search option in text processors

All the text processors have this option available, making it easy for users to find a word, in order to change it without reading all the document again.

Symbol option in text processors

All the text processors have the Symbol/Special characters option (with more or less symbols available).

Accounts & login

Some suites offer login with other account then their own (making easier for users to keep track of passwords and usernames):
1.Zoho suite: Google, Google apps, Yahoo or Facebook account (4 alternative options)
2.apps-live: Google, Yahoo account(2 alternative options)
3.Thinkfree: Google (1 alternative option)
4.Google: only Google account (0 alternative options)

Import/Export files

In all the suites you can import/export files from/to your local machine in the fallowing formats:

1. apps-live: .doc, .svw, .txt, .rtf, .odt, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .odp, .pps, .otp, .ods, .xls, xlsx
2.Google suite: .doc, .docx, .odt, .sxw, .rtf, .txt, .htm, .html, .ppt, .pps, .xls, .xlsx, .ods, .csv
3.Zoho suite: .doc, .docx, .gif, .html, .zip (and other archive types), .ppt, .pps,
4.ThinkFree: ... don't know yet it is not written anywere, everything I tried worked so I belive that they are basically the same as the rest. I will come back later to this post, when I'm sure.

Presentation notes

I noticed that all the presentation applications have this option available.

Slide Views in Presentation software

The following views are available:
Slide sorter;
Slide master;
Slide show; Slide/Normal

in all the suites except for "Google" suite whre slide sorter and slide master don't exist.

Slide design offer for presentations

Concerning the slide design offer from the presentation software the results are:
1."Google" suite-15 options
2.Zoho-14 options
3.apps.live-documents-33 options
4.thinkfree-30 options

Languages

Concerning the languages in which the suites are available, the results are:
1.Zoho -14 options
2.ThinkFree-10 options
3.Apps.live-only English(1 option)
4."Google" suite-48 options(40 are working well; the other 6: Chinese etc-character problems)

Nr of applications

Concerning the number of applications offered by the online suites, the results are:

1.Google suite-5 (Draw, Docs, Presentation, Form, Spreadsheet).
2.apps.live-documents-3 (Document, Presentation, Spreadsheet).
3.thinkfree-4 (Spredsheet, Document, Presentation, Note).
4.Zoho-22 (more then office-CRM, Invoice, Assist, Recruit, etc).

I now belive that Zoho suite is more then a simple Office suite, it is a real bussiness center, something like: Office+MS Dynamics.

I started using all the online suites some time ago. The first thing that I checked was the amount of space they are offering, to see how much I can store on their servers. The results are:

1. Google Suite-1 GB

2.Zoho Suite-1GB

3.ThinkFree-1GB

4.apps.live-100MB



They all offer more storage space if you pay.
